The Sun. A raindrop. An atom. Physics gives three answers — gravity, surface tension, the quantum — for one shape. Let's follow that coincidence until it breaks.
The Sun, our planet, the Moon. A water droplet, a cell, its nucleus. The atom, the electron, the nuclear core — down to a dot so small it can't be any other shape. Thirty orders of magnitude, one answer every time: a ball.
The Sun's gravity draws it inward from every side — fine. But a droplet has no gravity to speak of, so we reach for a different cause: surface tension. And the atom? A third: the quantum.
Three unrelated mechanisms, one identical shape, across thirty orders. That is not an explanation — it's a coincidence wearing three coats.

Three doors, one room.
Gravity pulls harder up close — so the near side of an orbiting body is pulled harder than its far side. The same body, two pulls. Stretch that and everything becomes a spear pointing at what it circles.
The stretch is real — the tidal force, 2GMR/r³. Drag the moon inward and watch it lose to its primary.
Left alone, an inward 1/r² pull stretches a body and draws a cloud onto itself — the moon crumbles at the Roche limit, the star collapses when its fire dies, matter falls into a black hole as spaghetti. Only an outward push ever stops it.
General relativity doesn't remove this. It coordinates it — the pull becomes curvature, the collapse is predicted outright as the black hole. The scandal was quietly turned into geometry.
One shape, one collapse, one missing push — patched by a different hand each time.
Fill space with fast movers from every direction. A lone body is battered equally and goes nowhere — but two bodies each shadow the stream between them, and the unshadowed push from outside drives them together.
One mechanism. And it makes balls for free: an isotropic push has only one equilibrium shape.
And there it is — the molten core, the geothermal gradient with no clean source, the furnace of every star. Le Sage's "impossible" heat is the heat that is already there, unexplained.
Only if matter moves through a stream. Make it a medium matter displaces and drag evaporates: a bubble in water feels none — the water reorganises around it. That cost is inertia; its imbalance is gravity.
The phenomena that were meant to refute the push are the phenomena that require it.
His movers need little bullet, big sky — grains fine enough, a cosmos empty enough, to cross without forever colliding. And they must share that space with the other medium of the age: the aether that carried light, a wispy gas filling everything, which by its very office would have to let the fast, thermalising bullets pass straight through.
Two seas in one room — one thick enough to carry light, one thin enough to let the shot by. It does not close.
Close — and no cigar-shaped moons, no field of spokes. But no cigar.
A material that occupies space is only GR's arena renamed. So stop putting matter in space. Make it a bubble that excludes space — a knot that shoulders the lattice out and is crushed by it in return. The pull was never a pull; it is space, closing on the exclusion.
And the push is no hail of bullets. It is an influx — everywhere, all at once, the same at every point: one throughflow, carrier of light, force and energy alike.
The ball is the shape of anything held by an inward influx the same in every direction — Sun, droplet, electron, one pressure at thirty orders. Gravity is that influx, occluded; the "pull" is space closing on a displacement. Heat is that influx, processed. No G, no M — only how much of the sea a body excludes, and how far it stands.
